Font Management – “NOT Font Book”
The time has come to update & organize my files because…I just purchased the 20″ 2.66 GHz iMac!
It was really easy transferring all of my files from the old eMac to the new iMac. However, Font Book did not update/import my font library and collections.
I have almost 3,000 fonts and did not want to start over importing them 1 by 1.
Online research lead me to try FontExplorerX. So, far it has been great! It searched my hard drive and automatically imported any fonts that it found. FontExplorerX is more advanced yet easier to use than Font Book…and it’s FREE!
Listed below are a few great resources on Font Management that I’ve found:
• PSDtuts tips on FontExplorerX
• An 8 page review of font managers for mac OS X
• Undo Font Book
• The Basics of Leopard Fonts
